EPM Scientific is supporting a pharmaceutical organisation urgently seeking an experienced Medical Manager to contribute to an exciting dermatology project. See summary of the role below:
Role Overview
Start Date: ASAP / Flexible
Key Responsibilities
- Lead medical oversight and delivery of dermatology clinical programmes, including protocol development, Quality‑by‑Design implementation, medical monitoring, inspection readiness, and Clinical Study Report input.
- Provide clinical leadership and cross‑functional alignment, maintaining transparent communication with Clinical Affairs leadership and collaborating with Clinical Operations, PV, Regulatory, and external clinical sites.
- Oversee and support key study activities, including Case Report Form review, Medical Monitoring Plan creation/maintenance, site engagement with investigators, pharmacovigilance support, and review of clinical and safety data.
- Enhance programme efficiency and modernisation, contributing to process improvements, digital trial integration, SOP development, therapeutic training, and medical field intelligence gathering.
- Represent the company externally, including participation in investigator meetings, scientific conferences, and meetings with National Competent Authorities, while supporting development of publications and external communications.
Requirements
- Qualified healthcare professional (e.g., MD or equivalent accreditation from the UK, EU, or USA) with 3+ years' experience in a similar Medical Manager or clinical leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of ICH‑GCP, international clinical research regulations, and clinical trial governance with proven experience supporting end‑to‑end clinical programme delivery.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and project‑management skills, with the ability to work efficiently, meet tight timelines, and lead cross‑functional teams.
- Highly developed analytical, observational, and decision‑making abilities, including the ability to respond rapidly to issues and proactively identify risks or process improvements.
- Demonstrated independence, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high scientific and quality standards.
