For us, great design starts with understanding not just problem, but also the people.
We’re looking for a mid-weight designer who can think, question, explore and then turn a good idea into beautifully considered work.
Someone who cares about why something works, not just how it looks.
The work is varied, one day you might be developing a campaign for a major technology business, the next creating a fundraising appeal for a charity, shaping a new identity, designing a website or working out how to make a complicated document feel clear and effortless.
Some projects will give you plenty of room to explore.
Others will need you to find the best answer within an established brand, a tight deadline or a very practical set of constraints.
Both matter here.
You’ll work closely with our Creative Director, designers, artworkers, developers, strategists and account team, taking projects from the first conversation through to final delivery.
You’ll have ownership of your own work, but you won’t be left alone with it.
We share ideas, ask questions, challenge one another and help when someone gets stuck.
We don’t expect one person to be brilliant at everything. We do expect you to care about the work, take responsibility for it and be open to learning.
You’ll fit right in if you
- Have solid experience in a creative agency or similarly varied design environment
- Can create thoughtful, effective work across print and digital
- Understand branding, typography, layout and visual storytelling
- Can explain the thinking behind your approach
- Are comfortable taking a project from brief through to final delivery
- Have strong Adobe Creative Suite skills, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and In Design
- Understand artwork production, document set-up, paragraph styles, grids and preparing files properly
- Think about the person using the work, including accessibility and user experience
- Can manage projects and deadlines without letting the details slide
- Are happy working independently but know when to ask, share or challenge
- Are curious about new technology and willing to explore how it can improve the work
- Care more about finding the right answer than defending your first idea
Experience in motion design, After Effects, website design or HTML and CSS would be useful, but we’re more interested in the strength of your thinking and the quality of your work than in finding someone who can tick every box.
