We are actively seeking a Leveraged Finance Lawyer to support our law firm client’s private credit team.

We are actively seeking Leveraged Finance Lawyers located in London with the following qualifications:

  • 6+ years PQE
  • Qualified solicitor in England and Wales.
  • Proven track record of handling complex leveraged finance transactions in leading private practice firms.
  • Private credit market and broadly syndicated loan market experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Epiq Counsel partners with industry-leading clients in support of their sophisticated interim talent needs. Must be interested in practicing in an alternative, fixed-term legal services model.

Support our client on the following:

  • Provide support as a senior associate in the Private Credit team and to their client base comprised of lenders in the middle market/unitranche space.
  • Manage multi-jurisdictional deals from inception to closing.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate term sheets, SFAs, ICAs and commitment letters, including comprehensive issues lists.
  • Review and advise on commercial grids.
  • Negotiation of senior vs. SS lender positions and subordinated classes of debt.
  • Stressed/distressed and liability management transactions.
  • Assist with portfolio work such as ad hoc queries, bolt-ons, and amendment and waiver processes.
  • Supervise junior associates on drafting, reviewing and negotiation of security documents (including on cross border deals) and other general CPs and ancillary documentation as well as closing processes.
  • Support the Leveraged Finance Team on an as needed basis.
