Job Description

We are actively seeking a Debt Capital Markets Lawyer for a leading global investment bank. This is a full-time, 12-month secondment opportunity in Canary Wharf.

We are actively seeking a Debt Capital Markets lawyer in London with the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of legal experience focused on financial services transactions.
  • Substantive experience in debt or equity capital markets required.
  • Experience in the financial services industry required.
  • Excellent communication and advisory skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to thrive in fast paced innovative environment requiring need to pivot quickly in response to changing workflows or deadlines.
  • Ability to work onsite in Canary Wharf full or part-time.
  • Law degree from an accredited institution.
  • Qualified solicitor in England.
  • Epiq Counsel partners with industry-leading clients in support of their sophisticated interim talent needs. Must be interested in practicing in an alternative, fixed-term legal services model.

Support our corporate client on the following:

  • Partner with and counsel debt capital markets business on DCM transactions, including syndicated bond deals, liability management, and MTN programme updates and establishments.
  • Prepare and negotiate deal documentation including bond transaction documents, auditor’s comfort letters, mandate letters and NDAs.
  • Liaise with external counsel on transactional workflow.
  • Provide input on related regulatory and market developments impacting business.
