We are seeking a number of UK-based Audio Recording Technicians to join our Court Reporting Legal Services team as Independent Contractors. You will be digitally recording several different types of legal hearings and keeping an accurate log of the proceedings using dedicated digital recording equipment supplied by the company. Successful candidates must be based in the UK. The majority of the hearings will be virtual so this role is ideal for someone wishing to work from home. On-site hearings will be taking place in the London area or other locations within the UK. There may also be some remote hearings that take place abroad so some travel may be required from time to time. Coverage of all assignments will be by prior agreement and travel and accommodation costs will be paid for remote assignments only. You will be technically adept, with excellent attention to detail and good time management. You will need to have fast internet access and be familiar with participating in meetings held on various online platforms. When attending hearings in person, you will be required to present a professional appearance and wear formal business attire. Shortlisted candidates will undertake the Epiq on-line English, IQ and typing assessments. On successful completion of these assessments, you will receive full training in digital recording and logging and you will be issued with an Epiq laptop and the audio recording equipment you will need in order to provide this service. Please note this is a self-employed role.
