Support our multinational corporate clients on the following
- Advise Human Resources and company leadership on employment-related legal issues, including employee relations, performance management, workplace investigations, disciplinary and grievance matters, dismissals, redundancies, and workforce restructuring initiatives.
- Provide counsel on compliance with UK employment legislation and regulations, including the Equality Act 2010, Working Time Regulations, employment status considerations, and other applicable employment law requirements.
- Conduct and oversee workplace investigations involving allegations of discrimination, harassment, victimisation, misconduct, whistleblowing concerns, and policy breaches.
- Draft, review, and update employment-related policies, procedures, handbooks, and training materials.
- Review and negotiate employment contracts, settlement agreements, restrictive covenant provisions, and other HR-related documentation.
- Provide employment law support in connection with reorganisations, TUPE transfers, acquisitions, restructurings, and workforce planning initiatives.
- Manage employment disputes, Employment Tribunal claims, and pre-litigation matters in partnership with external counsel.
- Develop and deliver training to Human Resources professionals, managers, and business leaders on employment law compliance and best practices.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and proactively advise stakeholders on emerging employment law trends and risks.
- Advise Human Resources, Benefits, and Reward teams on employee benefits programmes and related compliance matters.
- Required Qualifications
- Qualified solicitor in England and Wales (or equivalent UK qualification).
- 5+ years' PQE (post-qualification experience) in employment law, including in-house and/or private practice experience.
- Deep knowledge of UK employment law, including the Equality Act 2010, Employment Rights Act 1996, Working Time Regulations, TUPE, redundancy processes, disciplinary and grievance procedures, and related employment legislation.
- Knowledge of employee benefits, pensions, and associated regulatory considerations.
- Significant experience providing employment law advice directly to Human Resources teams and senior business stakeholders.
- Experience conducting workplace investigations and advising on complex employee relations matters.
- Experience supporting multinational organisations and coordinating employment law advice across multiple jurisdictions is preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to provide practical, commercially focused legal advice in a fast-paced environment.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
