Be part of something extraordinary at Epilepsy Society. We are seeking an external trainer to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate who is seeking to make a meaningful impact. You will play a pivotal role supporting our External Affairs team in a charity that provides world leading support for people with epilepsy through Care, Research and Advocacy.

About the role: We are seeking a confident registered HCP trainer, with a minimum of five years’ experience in epilepsy care, to provide world leading support for people with epilepsy through Research, Advocacy, and Care. We deliver training in epilepsy awareness, seizure management and emergency medication administration to health and social care staff and commercial organisations across the UK. We also work with the public sector, including health bodies and local councils.

You will be responsible for ensuring clients receive a high standard of training to enable them to provide the best possible care to people with epilepsy who they support. The role involves UK travel, wherever possible we use a trainer living closest to the training venue (occasional overnight stays may be required), and delivery of training online via MS TEAMs or face to face at a client’s venue. Extensive training in epilepsy will be given, and you will have the opportunity to ‘shadow’ an existing member of the team before training independently.

The post-holder will demonstrate our people values of CAIRO (Caring, Accountable, Improving, Respectful and Open), and work closely with the Education, Information and Support Service manager and colleagues to continue to develop a professional training service and deliver its wider objectives.

What we can offer:

  • 27 days annual leave + bank holidays, opportunity to buy/sell annual leave (pro rata for bank & part-time roles)
  • A generous Employee Referral Scheme (refer a friend and earn up to £150)
  • Excellent training and development opportunities
  • Confidential, supportive Employee Assistance Programme, accessible 24/7

Some information about us: Epilepsy Society’s Vision is a full life for everyone affected by epilepsy. We want everyone affected by epilepsy to have the best opportunity for a full life - as free from seizures as possible. We set out to make a difference to every person affected by epilepsy whatever their background, however seriously it impacts on their life, and whether they have the condition themselves or are close to someone with epilepsy.

A DBS (Disclosure & Barring) check will be required before appointment is confirmed. We reserve the right to close the post early once we have received a sufficient number of applicants: please submit your application as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
