Nutritionist & Customer Retention Executive
Location: Remote, United Kingdom
About us
Here at Epetōme, we're not just creating digestive supplements; we want to help others build sustainable habits and daily routines to support and nourish the gut microbiome. Founded by Emily English in April 2024, we are a small team with ambitions to help millions of people around the world understand and improve their gut health.
Role overview
As our Nutritionist & Customer Retention Executive, you'll work alongside our Nutritionist & Retention Manager to turn gut-health science into content and conversations that keep customers engaged and on their journey with us.
We're looking for someone who brings a specialism in digestion and the gut microbiome: shaping content, answering customer questions and helping us speak to a broader range of customers.
This is a hands‑on role for an early‑career nutritionist who loves content, enjoys talking to customers and wants to learn how Social, CRM and retention work in a fast‑growing brand.
Key responsibilities
- Write and research content for our newsletter, blog and CRM flows (email, SMS and WhatsApp), including gut-health insights, nutrition tips and recipes, with a focus on your specialism.
- Build and maintain a library of content, including seasonal themes, that the wider team can draw on.
- Support the Manager with copy review and other internal queries, checking nutrition accuracy and that content follows our claims and compliance guidelines.
- Handle nutrition‑related customer questions escalated by our Customer Service team in Gorgias, within our 24‑hour SLA.
- Help build and publish content using Shopify, Dash Social, and Notion, working with our marketing and design teams.
- Keep up to date with the latest research in your specialism and gut health, and share key findings with the team.
- Support customer insight work, such as surveys and feedback, to help us understand what customers need from us.
Requirements
- A MSc in Nutrition or Dietetics is essential (AfN, BANT or BDA registration required).
- A demonstrable specialism or strong interest in the gut microbiome is essential.
- 1–2 years' experience in a nutrition, content or customer‑facing role (graduates with relevant placements are welcome).
- Strong writing skills, with the ability to turn scientific research into clear, engaging content.
- Familiarity with tools like Gorgias, Shopify, Dash Social and Notion is desirable; training will be provided.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and a collaborative approach.
Who we're looking for

A proactive self‑starter with strong attention to detail, keen to learn and grow within a retention team.
Flexible working hours (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm or 8am–4pm)
Mentoring from an experienced nutritionist and clear room to grow
Opportunity to work in a growing startup with a passionate team
Remote working environment (willing to travel to London one day a month)
We’re not accepting applications from recruitment agencies for this role.
