Exciting opportunity to join our London Bridge team. We are currently looking for a Junior Events Sales Executive who supports the growth of the events business by generating leads, converting enquiries into bookings, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. Working directly with the Sales Director and Event Managers, helping to bring large scale international conferences in the downstream oil and gas sector to life. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and commercially minded individual looking to develop a career in the events industry. The events business within the company has grown year after year, now welcoming thousands of attendees across eight flagship events spanning Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia. Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Business Development
    • Research and identify potential leads through competitor event analysis, industry publications, market reports, and online sources.
    • Build, maintain, and update prospect database with accurate contact information and coding/profiling.
    • Respond to event enquiries via phone, email, website, and social media channels.
    • Qualify leads and identify client requirements.
    • Prepare and present event proposals, quotations, and contracts.
    • Follow up on enquiries to maximise conversion rates.
    • Assist in achieving monthly and annual sales targets.
    • Conduct client meetings.
    • Support outbound sales activities, including prospecting and lead generation.
    • Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities within the CRM system.
  • Database & Systems Management
    • Maintain and update event databases and CRM systems with accurate delegate, speaker, and sponsor information.
    • Manage the registration of delegates, speakers, and sponsors.
    • Managing customer records and ensuring data accuracy.
    • Cleaning and validating data.
    • Maintain accurate client records and sales activity reports.
    • Importing, exporting, and updating CRM data.
    • Ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR.
  • Event Coordination Support
    • Liaise with operations, marketing, and event delivery teams to ensure accurate event information is communicated.
    • Support process from sales to event operations.
    • Ensure contracts and documentation are completed on time.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Professional and customer-focused approach.

Desirable

  • 1 year's experience in B2B conference sales.
  • Experience within events, conferences, or exhibitions.
  • Knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Experience in outbound sales or business development.
  • Understanding of sales pipelines and conversion metrics.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and CRM systems (HubSpot being a bonus).
