With a strong focus on safety and technical excellence, we support major projects across the UK. We are now seeking a qualified CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector to join our on-site team in Newcastle.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting welding inspections, ensuring all work meets project specifications, industry codes, and regulatory standards. This is a hands-on site-based role requiring strong technical knowledge and a proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out visual weld inspections in line with CSWIP 3.1 requirements
• Review and interpret WPS, engineering drawings, and project specifications
• Monitor welding activities to ensure compliance with quality and safety procedures
• Identify non-conformances and support corrective action processes
• Produce clear and accurate inspection reports and maintain QA documentation
• Collaborate with welders, supervisors, and project management teams
• Ensure adherence to company standards, client requirements, and regulatory frameworks

Qualifications & Requirements

Required:

• Valid CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector certification
• Previous on-site experience in a similar inspection role
• Good understanding of welding methods, materials, and NDT fundamentals
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Right to work in the UK

Preferred:

• Additional NDT qualifications (MPI, DPI, UT, etc.)
• Experience within EPC, fabrication, offshore, industrial, or heavy-engineering environments
