Key Responsibilities

  • We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician specialised in servicing and maintaining grease traps.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of grease traps, primarily in commercial establishments such as restaurants, hotels, and food processing facilities.
  • This role involves working away from home, including weekends, and on‑call shifts.
  • You will be provided with a company vehicle, tools, and full training.
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and cleaning of grease traps in various commercial establishments.
  • Troubleshoot and repair any issues or malfunctions with grease traps and associated plumbing systems.
  • Conduct regular assessments to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies, including after‑hours and weekends.
  • Utilise company‑provided van to travel to different job sites (private use not permitted).
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including completed work orders and inventory usage.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Attend customer sites, inform customers of arrival, and identify grease trap systems.

Key Requirements

  • Physical fitness and ability to work in confined spaces and lift heavy equipment.
  • Comfortable with foul odours commonly associated with grease traps and faulty plumbing.
  • Flexibility to travel to various locations and work overtime as needed.
  • Availability to work irregular hours, weekends, and on‑call shifts.
