We are seeking an experienced Lead Mobile Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the delivery of enterprise-grade mobile banking solutions. This role uniquely combines hands-on testing with team leadership requiring a seasoned professional who can execute both manual and automated testing whilst guiding a distributed QA team to achieve comprehensive quality coverage.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive test strategies for mobile banking payment features across iOS and Android platforms.
- Perform manual testing of complex user journeys, business logic and edge cases for financial transactions.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites using modern testing frameworks and tools.
- Validate API integrations, security implementations and Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) flows.
- Conduct regression testing, identify defects and collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate testing activities to achieve comprehensive coverage of all features and sprint deliverables.
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers (manual, automation and accessibility specialists) across distributed locations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on quality objectives and release readiness.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing, establish testing standards and support team professional development.
- Escalate quality risks proactively and ensure defect resolution does not impact delivery timelines.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of quality assurance experience with both manual and automated testing.
- 3+ years of leading QA teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Expert-level proficiency in manual testing methodologies, test case design and defect management.
- Advanced automation skills using frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Detox, or similar tools.
- Deep understanding of mobile testing (iOS and Android), API testing and cross-platform validation.
- Experience with accessibility testing (WCAG 2.1), security testing and performance validation.
- Proficiency with test management tools, CI/CD integration and defect tracking systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to balance hands-on testing and team leadership.
