About the role
Do you enjoy solving complex data problems for enterprise clients/leading brands within a team? Are you a hands-on consultant who can deliver tangible solutions? Can you define and accelerate the adoption of a Data Governance operating model and framework? Then you have a fantastic opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, architects, engineers, as a Data Governance and Collibra Architect while we continue to grow our practice within EPAM.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the client to understand their business problems
- Deliver high-quality architecture and implementation designs
- Build out the Collibra Operating Model
- Collaborate with the client, analysts, and architects
- Influence ways of working within client teams
- Share best practices and present ideas with clarity
- Develop consistent presentations and communication materials to promote and inform on relevant Data Governance topics to the data community
- Coordinate and facilitate the creation and maintenance of essential Data Governance Office artifacts, such as information models and data quality business rules
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data owners, and data stewards to establish data governance roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities within the organization
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in building and shaping data governance practices
- Advanced knowledge/proficiency in Data Governance and associated frameworks, methodologies, techniques, processes, and approaches
- Extensive data governance, data catalog, or data quality experience
- Expertise in at least one data catalog tool: Collibra, Databricks Unity Catalog, Microsoft Purview, Alation, data.world, Informatica data catalog, Google dataplex data catalog, AWS DataZone
- Experience working in highly complex environments with senior stakeholders under challenging deadlines
- Familiarity with industry standards such as MISMO, DCAM, DMBOK
- Collibra Solution Architect certification or equivalent
- Basic skills in Java or Groovy development
- Good knowledge of APIs and integration techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication, presentation skills
