We currently have a Housekeeping Assistant vacancy within our Gosforth residential care home, working 20 hours per week. A high volume of applicants is expected for the role as detailed below, do not wait to send your CV.
The successful candidate will provide cover and additional support to our existing ancillary staff, splitting their hours between Kitchen Assistant, Laundry Assistant and Domestic Assistant.
- Kitchen Assistant: You will maintain the general cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and associated areas. Tasks will include washing crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils; undertaking the laying and cleaning of the tables; assisting in the preparation of meals and being involved in the making and serving of light meals and beverages.
- Domestic Assistant: You will maintain the general cleanliness and hygiene of the home. Undertaking general cleaning of communal areas, bedrooms, toilets, bathrooms, laundry, hairdressing salon, offices, and any other areas, as required.
- Laundry Assistant: You will maintain tidiness and organisation of the laundry, ensuring all residents' clothes are appropriately laundered, ironed, mended and returned to individual residents.
These shifts vary in duration, therefore the successful candidate must be flexible, willing to work hard and be adaptable.
