The Role The Salesforce Functional Administrator is responsible for the day‑to‑day functional management of Salesforce, ensuring the platform effectively supports business processes and user needs. This role partners closely with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Operations teams to translate requirements into scalable, user‑friendly Salesforce solutions. This is a hands‑on role focused on configuration, optimisation, and user enablement rather than heavy development.
Key Accountabilities
- Act as the primary functional owner of Salesforce, ensuring it aligns with business processes and objectives
- Gather, document, and translate business requirements into Salesforce configurations and enhancements
- Configure and maintain Salesforce features including objects, fields, page layouts, flows, validation rules, reports, and dashboards
- Manage user access, profiles, permission sets, and data quality standards
- Support release management, including testing, documentation, and user communication
