Overview
In this DDI Subject Matter Expert role, you lead end-to-end DDI initiatives across a diverse ecosystem, driving modernization, automation, and observability while ensuring scalability and security. You will own resilience assessments, design robust DNS architectures including Anycast deployments, and integrate multiple DDI platforms into a cohesive system. You collaborate with network teams to support resilient DNS services and act as the escalation point for DDI matters. This position offers impact by strengthening availability, recovery, and governance across enterprise networks, with a hands-on, implementation-focused approach.
Responsibilities
- Lead a comprehensive DDI resilience assessment with clear recommendations for availability, recovery, and risk posture
- Own DDI initiatives end-to-end: design, deployment, and optimization
- Design robust DNS architectures including Anycast deployments
- Work hands-on with DDI platforms (Infoblox, Cygna Labs/QIP, EfficientIP) and integrate them into a cohesive ecosystem
- Build and enhance DDI observability: DNS Tap, telemetry pipelines, dashboards
- Define and improve governance, compliance, and control frameworks for DNS/IP services
- Ensure secure DNS/IP management with Active Directory integration and authentication
- Collaborate with network teams on routing and switching (BGP, OSPF) to support DNS resiliency
- Drive automation initiatives across DDI (APIs, IaC, orchestration)
- Troubleshoot complex DNS/IPAM issues in distributed environments
- Act as the technical SME and escalation point for all DDI matters
Key requirements
- 15+ years of progressive DDI experience (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) including large-scale deployments
- Hands-on with DDI platforms (Infoblox, Cygna Labs/QIP, EfficientIP) or similar
- Deep DNS architecture, design, and operations knowledge
- Experience with Anycast DNS deployments in large-scale environments
- Strong understanding of BGP and OSPF
- Knowledge of DNS observability tools (DNS Tap, logging, telemetry pipelines)
- Experience with Active Directory integration and secure authentication
- Familiarity with governance, compliance, and control frameworks in network services
- Strong troubleshooting in complex, distributed environments
