What you\’ll do
- Oversee and verify compliance with Health & Safety regulations across all departments
- Prepare and regularly review risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Identify potential hazards and recommend preventive measures
- Attend monthly meetings and present relevant Health & Safety data
- Assist on investigations of incidents, and near misses; compile reports and suggest corrective actions
- Ensure all health and safety documentation is up to date, including policies, procedures, and audit records
- Maintain records of safety-related incidents and produce statistics for management
- Support the development and implementation of emergency procedures and evacuation plans
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation and industry best practice
What you need to succeed
- A degree in Environmental Health and Safety preferred OR a degree and 2 years relevant experience OR 5 years relevant experience.
- Experience within a similar H&S role
- Understanding of HSE legislation and regulations
- Experience with RAMS, auditing, reporting
- Good communication skills
- IT and numeracy skills (MS Office)
Desirable Criteria
- IOSH Membership
- Relevant Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH) preferred
- Additional H&S certifications preferred
- Full clean driving license
