About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile individual to fill a dual role as our Salesforce Solution Architect and overall Systems Administrator. This critical position will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Salesforce ecosystem, as well as the administration and support of all other company IT systems. This role demands a strong technical background, a deep understanding of business processes, and the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic thinking and tactical execution.
Responsibilities:
Salesforce Solution Architect:
- Capture requirements from across the business and translate these into Salesforce solutions through business process analysis.
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of Salesforce solutions to meet business requirements, working with external contractors on larger programs of work.
- Conduct routine maintenance and housekeeping on Salesforce (E.g. upgrading components where required, ensuring user access & privileges are in sync etc.)
- Document Salesforce configurations, processes, and best practices.
- Oversee data migration and data quality initiatives within Salesforce.
- Configure and customise Salesforce objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, page layouts, and reports/dashboards.
- Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other systems.
- Manage Salesforce sandboxes and deployments.
Systems Administrator (All Other Systems):
- Administer and maintain all other company systems.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify and address potential problems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and outages promptly.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across all systems.
- Ensure compliance with data protection, integrity and disaster recovery policies.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Develop and maintain system documentation and user training materials.
Qualifications:
- A strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Proven experience as a Salesforce Solution Architect, with a strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, best practices, and development methodologies.
- Experience with Salesforce configuration, customisation, and development.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant) are highly desirable.
- Significant experience in systems administration, especially Microsoft Azure.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, working with external consultancies and contractors as well.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
