We are recruiting for a skilled and ambitious Plumbing, Heating & Gas Engineer to join Scotton Park, a well-established maintenance and refurbishment company. The company is growing significantly due to a number of new contracts won and is now looking for the right candidate to help service their clients with Plumbing, Heating and/or Gas needs.

Working primarily across care homes, vet practices and schools, you will be responsible for plumbing, heating, gas maintenance, PPM’s, compliance, and repairs. This is not a standard construction site role. We need a professional who combines technical excellence with the soft skills required to work in occupied homes among vulnerable residents, requiring a high level of discretion, cleanliness, and a high standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance & Repair: Carry out reactive repairs, servicing, and fault finding on plumbing, heating and gas systems within educational and care facilities.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all related appliances are safe, compliant, and operating efficiently, issuing certificates where qualified.
  • Travel & Operations: Daily travel to varied sites throughout Yorkshire and surrounding counties is required. You will report to the Boroughbridge office for briefings/materials, with occasional overnight stays for distant jobs (allowance provided).
The Ideal Candidate

Because this role involves sensitive environments, your "bedside manner" is just as important as your technical skill. You must be reliable, hardworking, and take pride in providing quality workmanship while working quietly and respectfully around elderly residents. You will also need the commercial mindset and ambition to help build a department from the ground up.

Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven background in PPM’s, fault-finding, and maintenance.
  • DBS: Must hold or be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
  • Driving: Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
What's on Offer

£20 per hour with weekly pay cycles, plus highly lucrative on-call bonuses (£100 standby + £100 per call out). Company van and fuel card provided. A long-term, secure position within a supportive and growing team.
