Our Civils team has a fantastic opportunity for a Substation Electrician to join them working across Greater Manchester.

Our role

As a Substation Electrician you will be responsible for the maintenance and inspection of Electrical Installations in ENWL High Voltage Substations.

This will entail both the installation and testing of wiring systems/circuits in our substations.

In addition to the above duties, you will also be trained to undertake:

  • Safety standby in our substations to permit contractors etc. to perform duties under your supervision;
  • Visual inspection of LV feeder pillars & cable link boxes;
  • Electrical installation quality inspection & testing.

What we’re looking for

  • Completion of electrician apprenticeship or similar;
  • City & Guilds or NVQ qualifications in a relevant subject;
  • Experience working as an electrician;
  • A valid driver\’s license.
