Fantastic Opportunity: Field Telemetry Technician

The evolution from a Distribution Network Operator (DNO) to a Distribution System Operator (DSO) is driven by the development of a Smart Grid. This modernised network incorporates significantly enhanced monitoring and control capabilities across all voltage levels, far beyond traditional systems. The Smart Grid enables real-time management of energy flows and system constraints, allowing assets to operate closer to their maximum capacity. It also supports both local and centralised automatic corrective actions when needed. As a field-based Telemetry Technician, you will play a key role in supporting this transition. Your responsibilities will include the installation, maintenance, and repair of a variety of Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) and other intelligent electronic devices. These devices form a critical part of the SCADA/Control System used by SP Electricity North West to monitor and control the entire electricity network.
