Our Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Lead / Construction Coordinator to join the Connections Major Projects Team. This role will be offered on a FTC for six months.
The post holder will manage a portfolio of Customer projects for electricity connections to our distribution network up to and including 6.6kV / 11Kv.
Ideally based in Preston, consideration could be given to Carlisle or Salford as a base.
A key focus of the role will be to take full ownership of a portfolio of Customer projects throughout the full project lifecycle, and deliver first class customer service in the provision and alteration of major electrical connections.
We are looking for a motivated individual with project management and operational skills / knowledge. You will be responsible for the management of the construction phase of the project, including but not limited to, work associated with new connections of demand and distributed generation projects, and diversions / reinforcement associated with new HV connections.
What we're looking for
- Experience of managing HV electrical distribution projects
- Experience of managing a portfolio of projects within the Utility sector
- Knowledge of technical and regulatory codes of practice
- Experience of customer facing project delivery
- Hold an ONC/HNC level qualification in Electrical Engineering (desirable)
- Have experience of Health & Safety Compliance
- Have proven programming and planning skills
- Be an excellent communicator with proven report writing skills
- Commercial astuteness and budget control management
- Risk & Issue management
- Excellent customer relationship and engagement skills
- Proficient user of MS Office Software
