About the Opportunity
Location: Teesside
We are recruiting an IOSH-qualified CDM Manager to join our team delivering electrical power projects at transmission and distribution voltage levels. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety (Construction, Design and Management) Regulations 2015 throughout all project stages. This includes fulfilling CDM duty holder requirements such as Principal Designer and Principal Contractor, creating procedures, documentation, and assurance for high voltage infrastructure and grid connections typically between 11kV and 132kV.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure each project complies with CDM regulations and health and safety legislation, collaborating with the solutions team on temporary works considerations.
- Assess and document approvals for temporary works on a project basis.
- Act as the escalation point for health & safety and CDM issues during tendering and project execution.
- Ensure responsible individuals are competent and prepared for project delivery.
- Lead health & safety compliance across the delivery team, including subcontractors.
- Maintain policies, systems, and testing procedures in line with ISO standards.
- Provide excellent customer service through clear communication, safety, quality, and meeting milestones within budget.
- Promote the company\'s reputation through professional conduct and positive attitude.
- Identify future sales opportunities, supporting business development and tendering processes.
Who we are looking for
- NEBOSH Diploma or NEBOSH Construction Certificate Level 4 (essential).
- Training in Temporary Works design and implementation.
- At least five years of relevant health and safety management experience.
- Detailed knowledge of health and safety legislation, including CDM Regulations.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 management systems.
- Experience developing Pre-Construction Information and Construction Phase Plans.
- Experience in Health and Safety Files and assurance programs.
- Implementation of quality and assurance strategies.
- Hold IOSH or APS accreditation (essential).
- Excellent communication skills, with experience in reports, presentations, and safety briefings (essential).
- Self-motivated, with leadership qualities.
- Valid UK driving license (essential).
