An excellent opportunity for an experienced Solar PV Installer to join a long-established, family-run energy and facilities services provider. The company designs, installs and supports energy-saving solutions for commercial, industrial and educational clients across the UK, including LED lighting, eco-heating, commercial solar lighting and Solar PV systems. With strong growth and repeat work from major clients, they are investing in their in-house solar team and looking for a reliable installer who takes real pride in safe, tidy, high-quality work.

The Role

We’re looking for a confident, capable Solar Installer who can deliver full PV installations from start to finish. You’ll work as part of a small, friendly team installing rooftop solar systems, completing electrical connections, and commissioning inverters.

Key responsibilities:

  • Install rooftop solar PV systems on residential and commercial properties
  • Complete AC and DC wiring, including connecting and commissioning inverters
  • Carry out system testing, troubleshooting and verification to ensure safe operation
  • Work to high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate documentation and installation records
  • Work collaboratively with other engineers and electricians on site

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience installing residential or commercial solar PV systems
  • Ability to connect and commission inverters (Solis, SolarEdge, Growatt, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of electrical installation fundamentals
  • 18th Edition (preferred)
  • 2391 or solar-specific training desirable but not essential
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Someone who takes pride in delivering quality work and likes being part of a supportive team

Salary and Package

  • £32,000 to £45,000 basic salary depending on experience
