Envo Talent is representing a well-established environmental consultancy that specialises in contaminated land management, spill response, remediation, and environmental consultancy services. With a strong reputation in the industry, our client supports a wide range of domestic, commercial, and industrial clients, providing expert solutions for complex environmental challenges.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Consultant to join their Hampshire office. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior role within a dynamic and supportive team, working on high-impact environmental projects across the UK.

The Role: As a Senior Environmental Consultant, you will play a key role in managing contaminated land projects from start to finish. You will be responsible for delivering expert advice and consultancy services, including:

  • Managing contaminated land investigations, remediation, and validation projects.
  • Leading domestic and commercial spill response efforts.
  • Conducting site assessments for brownfield redevelopment and pollution incidents.
  • Providing expert environmental consultancy services to a range of clients.
  • Assisting in the provision of expert witness services for legal cases.
  • Ensuring projects comply with relevant environmental regulations and industry best practices.
  • Managing client relationships and maintaining a high standard of customer service.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior consultants within the team.

Key Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with the ability to manage projects independently.
  • A degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of contaminated land legislation and environmental regulations.
  • Experience in spill response, remediation, and pollution incident management.
  • A track record of successfully mentoring or managing junior staff (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders.
  • A solid understanding of health and safety regulations, with relevant qualifications such as SMSTS being advantageous.
  • A willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and undertake physical tasks such as hand digging, augering, and equipment handling.
