Job Title: Energy Assessor (OCDEA & OCNDEA) Location: Remote About Our Client Our client is a leading sustainability compliance and energy assessment consultancy with over 16 years of experience. We specialise in Energy and Sustainability requirements, Part L Building Regulations compliance, consultancy, and CPD training, ensuring our clients secure planning permissions and building control sign-offs with ease. Our expertise in the property development sector enables us to deliver the best results for every project. The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Energy Assessor (OCDEA & OCNDEA) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating the energy performance of new residential buildings during the construction phase. Your assessments will ensure compliance with building regulations and sustainability standards, providing recommendations for improvements and preparing necessary documentation. Key Responsibilities: Conduct energy assessments using SAP methodology for new residential and non-residential buildings. Ensure compliance with Part L Building Regulations and sustainability requirements. Provide recommendations to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability in construction projects. Prepare and submit energy assessment reports and compliance documentation. Liaise with clients, architects, and construction teams to support regulatory compliance. Stay updated with the latest changes in building regulations and assessment methodologies. Requirements: A relevant degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred). Certification as an OCDEA SAP Assessor from an accredited body (e.g., Elmhurst Certification or equivalent). Experience conducting energy assessments within the construction industry is advantageous. Strong knowledge of UK Energy and Sustainability regulations, including Part L compliance. Proficiency in using energy assessment software (e.g., SAP and SBEM calculation tools). Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and report-writing skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects remotely.
