As demand continues to grow across solar PV, LED lighting, battery storage and energy-efficient electrical upgrade and FM maintenance, the business is strengthening its on-site leadership capability.
This role has been created to support safe delivery, quality control and the development of installation teams as workloads increase.
Role overview
The Senior Electrician / Electrical Supervisor will take responsibility for supervising electrical installations while remaining hands-on on site. You will lead small to medium installation teams, ensure work is completed to the required technical and safety standards, and act as the link between site activity and the Project Implementation Manager. This is a practical supervisory role suited to an experienced electrician who enjoys mentoring others, taking ownership of quality, and working across varied project types nationwide.
Responsibilities and duties
- Lead and supervise electrical installation teams on site
- Deliver hands-on electrical installation work alongside the team
- Ensure compliance with BS 7671, project specifications and HSEQ requirements
- Carry out daily site safety checks and oversee safe systems of work
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring and quality oversight to electricians
- Support installation of solar PV, LED lighting, battery storage and energy-efficient heating systems and FM maintenance
- Diagnose faults, carry out remedial works and oversee testing and commissioning
- Assist with materials coordination, basic programme management and site planning
- Maintain accurate site documentation and completion records
- Communicate progress, risks and issues to the Project Implementation Manager
Professional qualifications and experience
- Fully qualified electrician with a Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations BS 7671:2018 + A2:2022
- C&G 2391-52 or equivalent inspection and testing qualification preferred
- Experience supervising or leading electrical installations
- Background delivering work in schools, commercial or industrial environments
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required
Solar PV experience and basic project coordination exposure are advantageous. Training can be provided where required.

Salary and benefits
- Salary up to £44,000 basic depending on experience
