About the Opportunity
At Envo Talent, we’re supporting one of the UK’s leading Independent Connection Providers to find an experienced ICP Project Manager. This business delivers complex electrical connections across the UK — from HV/LV networks and substations to major infrastructure and commercial developments. They’re known for technical excellence, safety, and delivering projects the right way — first time, every time.
If you’ve managed electrical infrastructure projects (ICP, DNO, or utility), this is a chance to join a company that’s scaling sustainably, investing in its people, and giving Project Managers the freedom to lead.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of end-to-end project delivery — from design through to commissioning and client handover. You’ll work closely with internal teams, external contractors, and network operators to ensure every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and within budget.
Day-to-day, you’ll:
- Manage multiple HV/LV connection projects nationwide
- Lead planning, design coordination, procurement, and construction phases
- Interface with DNOs/IDNOs to ensure full compliance with standards
- Oversee budgets, schedules, risk, and change control
- Coordinate subcontractors, civil teams, and electrical engineers
- Maintain clear client communication and deliver regular progress reports
- Drive high standards of health & safety and quality assurance
What You’ll Bring
- Proven track record managing ICP or electrical infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of HV/LV systems, substations, and cable networks
- Solid grasp of project controls (budgeting, risk, and scheduling)
- Confident communicator with clients, engineers, and stakeholders
- Commercial awareness and contract management experience
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites
Nice to have:
- PRINCE2, APM, or PMP qualification
- Experience in EV infrastructure or new connections
- Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)
- Background in civil or utility works
