About the Role

As a Geo-Environmental Consultant, you will be an integral part of the team, involved in site investigations, environmental risk assessments, and project management. You will work on both Phase I & II projects, with structured training and mentorship to support your progression towards chartered status.

Key Responsibilities:
Managing and delivering geo-environmental projects, including site investigations and land classification assessments.
Carrying out fieldwork, including soil and water sampling, gas monitoring, and supervising site investigations.
Preparing proposals, tenders, and cost estimates.
Analysing laboratory results and producing high-quality interpretative reports.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and method statements.
Managing client relationships and maintaining effective communication throughout projects.
Overseeing contractors and procurement processes.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
A degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Soil Science, or a related field.
Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of geotechnical and contaminated land legislation and industry best practice.
Excellent project management and organisational skills.
Willingness to undertake fieldwork across the UK, with flexibility for travel.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
A master’s degree in a relevant subject.
Membership of professional organisations such as CIWEM or IEMA.
Experience with risk assessment software (e.g., CLEA, RBCA).
Familiarity with borehole logging software, CAD, and project management tools.
Experience mentoring junior colleagues.
