Commercial Project Manager – HV Installations & New Connections (33kV & 132kV) Location: South East or Midlands based Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 + Company Car/Car Allowance + Benefits About the Company Our client, established over a decade ago, has developed a reputation for delivering tailored solutions in the energy and utilities sector. The Role Envo Talent is seeking a skilled Commercial Project Manager to support the delivery of major HV projects, particularly large installations and new connections at 33kV and 132kV. In this key role, you’ll manage project compliance, procurement, and the financial performance of each project, ensuring it runs smoothly from start to finish. Key Responsibilities: Client Relationship Management : Understand and manage client requirements, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project objectives. Project Compliance and Documentation : Ensure all aspects of the project meet contractual requirements, managing document submissions in line with client specifications. Contract Management : Have a strong understanding of standard contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC4) and manage compliance throughout the project. Procurement Management : Monitor the procurement of long-lead items, ensuring they are ordered on time and within budget. Supplier and Sub-Contractor Management : Review supplier performance and coordinate sub-contractor selection, engagement, and performance. Project Planning : Develop and manage the project programme, ensuring the timely delivery and implementation of individual projects. Workload Organisation : Organise and prioritise tasks within the project schedule to ensure efficiency and on-time delivery. Change Management : Manage project changes, ensuring that variations are captured and handled appropriately. Budget and Financial Management : Oversee the project budget and ensure financial performance aligns with expectations. Quality Assurance : Conduct internal and sub-contractor quality assurance inspections and audits to ensure all projects meet safety and technical performance requirements. Stakeholder Management : Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and other parties to ensure project objectives and expectations are met and maintained. What We Are Looking For: The ideal candidate will have proven experience in commercial management within construction or utilities, with a strong understanding of contract administration and procurement processes. Ideal Candidate Requirements: HNC in Electrical Engineering, ideally in Power Distribution, or equivalent. Experience in commercial management within a project or construction background. Knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation. Strong understanding of standard contract forms such as JCT and NEC4. Experience coordinating the work of sub-contractors and internal teams. Ability to interpret technical diagrams and explain design concepts clearly. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organisational skills. Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal teams. Why Join?
