Envo Talent is partnering with an expanding Independent Connection Provider (ICP) delivering electrical infrastructure projects across the UK energy sector. The company works on private networks, renewable energy connections and high voltage electrical infrastructure, supporting solar, battery storage and industrial power users with grid connections and substation works. Due to continued growth in renewable energy and grid infrastructure projects, the business is now looking to appoint an Electrical Estimator to support their expanding project pipeline.
Role overview
The Electrical Estimator will work closely with engineering and commercial teams to convert opportunities into awarded projects. The role involves preparing detailed cost estimates and bid submissions for high voltage electrical infrastructure projects including transformer replacements, switchgear upgrades, substation installations and contestable connections. Projects typically involve voltages up to 33kV and 132kV across renewable generation, private networks and industrial power infrastructure.

Responsibilities and duties
- Prepare cost estimates and quotations for HV electrical infrastructure projects
- Produce detailed bid submissions aligned with client requirements
- Estimate project costs and timescales for private network installations and contestable connections
- Define project deliverables, materials and resource requirements
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and technical information
- Attend tender clarification meetings with clients
- Carry out occasional site visits and technical reviews
- Support the identification of additional opportunities within existing client projects
Professional qualifications and experience
- HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, ideally in power distribution
- Experience estimating HV electrical infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of 33kV electrical networks
- Exposure to 132kV projects would be advantageous
- Experience within private networks, ICP or renewable energy sectors
- Understanding of relevant health and safety legislation
