The company operates in a stable, regulated sector with long-term customer contracts and recurring revenue. As the customer base continues to grow, they are strengthening their account management team to ensure customers receive consistent, high-quality service while identifying opportunities to add further value over time. This is not a new business sales role. The focus is on managing an existing portfolio, building trusted relationships and ensuring contracts are renewed and expanded appropriately.
As Customer Account Manager, you will take ownership of a defined portfolio of approximately 400 business customers. You will act as the primary point of contact, responsible for customer satisfaction, contract renewals and identifying suitable upsell and cross-sell opportunities across energy services and software solutions. Working closely with internal delivery and support teams, you will ensure services are delivered as agreed while contributing to retention and revenue targets. The role offers a hybrid working model, combining home working with regular time in the Milton Keynes office.
What’s on offer:
- £35,000 to £45,000 basic salary

Key responsibilities:
- Managing and developing a portfolio of business customers
- Acting as the main relationship contact for assigned accounts
- Carrying out structured account reviews
- Managing contract renewals and retention
- Identifying and delivering upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Supporting customer onboarding and profiling
- Maintaining accurate CRM records
- Producing account performance and revenue reports
- Working closely with operational, technical and support teams
- Maintaining clear, professional communication with customers
Experience and background:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in B2B account management or sales
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of business customers
- Background in energy, utilities, compliance, software or related services preferred
- Track record of achieving renewal, retention or account growth targets
- Comfortable working to commercial objectives
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Energy Management or similar preferred, or equivalent experience
- Confident using CRM systems such as Salesforce, Dynamics, vTiger or similar
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
