Envo Talent is representing an established EV installation business specialising in domestic electric vehicle charging solutions across Kent, London and the wider South East. The business has built its reputation around quality installations, attention to detail and providing a professional service to customers. As the business continues to grow, they are looking to add experienced electricians to their installation team. This is a predominantly domestic role, working with a range of leading EV charging manufacturers and providing customers with a complete installation service from initial installation through to commissioning. The position would suit an experienced EV installer, as well as a qualified domestic electrician looking to develop their career within the EV sector.
As an EV Charger Installer, you will be responsible for carrying out domestic EV charger installations across Kent, London and the wider South East. You will work independently at customer properties, completing installations safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard. Alongside the technical installation, you will be expected to represent the business professionally when dealing with customers in their homes and ensure each installation is completed with a strong focus on quality and customer service. You will work with a range of leading EV charging brands, including Hypervolt, Easee, Pod, Andersen, Ohme, Zaptec, Cord and others. The role reports into the installation management team, with support available when required.
Salary and benefits
- £45,000 basic salary
- Up to approximately £6,500 per year in installation bonuses
- £25 bonus for completing three installations in a day
- Saturday overtime scheme – full day's pay for a half day's work
- 28 days' holiday, inclusive of bank holidays

Responsibilities and duties
- Carry out domestic EV charger installations across Kent, London and the wider South East.
- Complete associated electrical installation work safely and to a high standard.
- Install, test and commission EV charging equipment from a range of leading manufacturers.
- Assess installation requirements and identify potential technical issues before and during installations.
- Carry out testing and inspection of completed electrical works.
- Complete certification, installation records and other required documentation accurately.
- Ensure installations comply with current electrical regulations, manufacturer requirements and company procedures.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety across all customer sites.
- Communicate professionally with customers throughout the installation process.
- Explain the operation of newly installed charge points and answer customer questions where appropriate.
- Manage your daily workload effectively and complete installations within the expected timeframe.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment appropriately.
- Represent the business professionally when working in customers' homes.
- Report technical, access or customer issues to the relevant member of the team.
- Maintain a strong focus on quality and getting installations right first time.
Professional qualifications and experience
- Level 3 electrical qualification or equivalent recognised electrical qualification.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
- City & Guilds 2919-01 Level 3 Award in the Installation and Commissioning of Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment (desirable).
- Previous experience carrying out domestic electrical installations.
- Previous EV charger installation experience (desirable).
- Good understanding of domestic electrical systems, testing and installation requirements.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own installations.
- Full UK driving licence.
- A genuine interest in developing or continuing your career within EV charging.
- Candidates who have strong domestic electrical experience but are relatively new to EV installations will also be considered, provided they have the required electrical qualifications and the right attitude towards developing their EV knowledge.
