Role Details
- Location: St Leonards-on-Sea
- Pay: £16.07–£17.14 per hour (depending on experience & training)
- Hours: Approx. 30 hours per week
- Shifts: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm or full‑day shifts (flexible based on service needs)
- Work pattern: Double‑up care package – you’ll always work alongside another carer
- Driving licence: preferred (may involve driving the client’s vehicle); non‑drivers may be considered
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and mobility support to clients with complex health needs
- Assist with clinical and health‑related tasks such as medication management, PEG feeding, suprapubic catheter care, and dystonia management
- Support independence and emotional wellbeing, encouraging participation in enjoyable activities (e.g., swimming, bowling, watching TV)
- Help clients access the community and other recreational activities
- Maintain accurate records and report any changes in client condition to relevant staff
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous care experience essential; complex care experience desirable
- Willingness to learn new clinical skills and undergo full training
- Reliable, proactive, and compassionate approach to care

- Full clinical training on suprapubic catheter care, PEG feeding, medication via gastrostomy, and dystonia management
