At Envitia, consulting is about more than delivery; it’s about influence, impact, and long-term partnership. You’ll be part of a growing, collaborative consulting practice that is focused on delivering real value, building enduring client relationships, and shaping the future of data-driven decision-making in complex environments.

You will help deliver reliable, scalable and secure digital services, working across the full software delivery lifecycle from infrastructure automation and deployment through to platform operations and service optimisation.
This is a hands-on technical role focused on modern DevOps and cloud-native engineering practices. You'll work with technologies such as AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS, ECS and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), helping teams accelerate delivery while maintaining high standards of security, resilience and operational excellence.
Working within multidisciplinary Agile teams, your work will include building secure CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, implementing observability and monitoring solutions, and supporting live environments through SRE-aligned ways of working.
Typical responsibilities include:

- Developing Infrastructure as Code and automated platform capabilities.
- Supporting and optimising AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS and ECS environments.
- Implementing monitoring, logging, observability and alerting solutions for mission-critical services.
- Contributing to secure, scalable and resilient cloud architectures within regulated environments.
Due to the nature of our work, some assignments may require higher levels of security clearance and regular onsite attendance at client locations in London or the South West, depending on programme requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery.
- Develop and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automation tools.
- Support and optimise AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS and ECS platforms.
- Implement monitoring, logging and observability solutions to improve platform performance and visibility.
- Work closely with software engineers, testers and architects to deliver secure, reliable and scalable solutions.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment and environment issues across development and production environments.
- Contribute to cloud migration initiatives, platform improvements and engineering best practices.
- Share knowledge, reusable tooling and automation patterns across teams.
- Adhere to security, governance and information-handling requirements within regulated and secure environments.
Experience Required
We're looking for a DevOps Engineer with experience designing, building and supporting secure cloud-based platforms and automated delivery pipelines.
You will bring:
- Experience working in DevOps or Platform Engineering roles.
- Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS, ECS or other container platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or Ansible.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins or equivalent.
- Experience implementing monitoring, logging and observability solutions for cloud environments.
- Knowledge of AWS and/or Azure cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of security, compliance and governance requirements within regulated environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within Agile, cross-functional teams.
Desirable:
- Experience working within government, defence or national security environments.
- Exposure to cloud migration programmes and large-scale platform transformation initiatives.
- Understanding of DevSecOps principles, including security automation and secure software delivery practices.
Security Clearance Requirements
The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain a SC level security clearance and eligible to go through higher levels of security clearance. Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be a sole British National.
Location
The role will require travel to our Horsham offices 2 days a month as well as travel to customer sites in the UK when required.
