Envitia is a UK-based software and services company that helps organisations unlock the full value of their data to make better, faster decisions. With over 30 years of experience, we specialise in delivering innovative software products, solutions, and consultancy services that transform complex data challenges into actionable insights. Our mission is to empower customers across defence, government, and national security sectors to harness the power of data — from geospatial intelligence to advanced analytics and AI integration.

We are looking for a Data Solutions Architect to play a central role in shaping and delivering innovative, data-driven solutions for our clients. In this position, you will design and implement architectures that combine our internal capabilities with leading commercial products and frameworks, helping organisations unlock the full value of their data.

Working within our Consulting division and reporting to the Architecture Team Lead, you will contribute to the successful delivery of solutions across modern data platforms and cloud technologies. Beyond project delivery, you will help strengthen our architectural capability by contributing to internal best practices, reusable patterns, and shared assets, supported by senior architects.

  • Solution Design & Delivery: Own the end-to-end design and delivery of data-centric solutions, translating client requirements into practical architectures and ensuring successful implementation in collaboration with delivery teams.
  • Governance & Quality Assurance: Ensure solutions meet required standards, regulatory frameworks, and non-functional requirements (e.g. security, performance, resilience, and cost), proactively managing risks, dependencies, and quality throughout delivery.
  • Pre-sales & Commercial Support: Continuously develop your technical and consulting skills, contribute to reusable architectural assets and best practices, and support the growth of colleagues through guidance and mentoring.
  • Data Architecture: Strong experience in data modelling, transformation, migration, and analytics/AI solutions, with knowledge of data quality, metadata, and modern platforms.

Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure data services, plus knowledge of distributed systems, integration, microservices, and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes). Effective communication and stakeholder management, with experience delivering within large transformation programmes and presenting to governance forums.

The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain a SC level security clearance. The role will require travel to our Horsham offices 2 days a month as well as travel to customer sites in the UK when required.
