Envision Racing is a UK based Formula E Team competing in the FIA Formula E World Championship and seeks a qualified and experienced Tyre Simulation Engineer to be employed full time. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to thrive in this challenging yet highly rewarding role.

Tyre Simulation Engineer – Formula E Team

  • This role will have responsibility to contribute to the on-track success of our race cars working within both the Tyre and Simulation groups.
  • Participate in simulator sessions, track tests, and be based at the Remote Operations Room during race events.
  • Lead offline simulations, and analysis tool and model development using Matlab/Python/VBA/etc.

Key skillset requirements:

  • A highly detail orientated but adaptable candidate, experienced with accurately analysing data.
  • Excellent and demonstrable engineering ability with desirably 2 years relevant experience in vehicle simulation or performance engineering at a high level of motorsport.
  • In depth knowledge of vehicle dynamics and tyre dynamics.
  • Tyre modelling experience.
  • Proficient with modern data analysis tools, ideally WINTAX and ATLAS.
  • Perfect planning, communication and organisational skills.
  • Excellent inter-personal and reporting skills to clearly circulate engineering information.

This position is based at Silverstone in our purpose-built workshop with free onsite parking and surrounded by forests and with an onsite gym to unwind during breaks. The role will require some international travel and long flexible hours. The position will offer a competitive salary package, plus bonus potential, 25 days paid holiday, company pension, electric car scheme, cycle scheme and healthcare.
