This is an exciting time to join Envision Racing, an elite Formula E team based in Silverstone, as we expand our premises and enter into the next generation of car competitively. The role will be focused on providing first line IT support across the business, providing exceptional customer service and effective troubleshooting to keep things running smoothly and enable the team to perform at their best.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as triage for the IT department
- Configure, deploy and support laptops, mobile devices, and other core company infrastructure
- Support user onboarding and leaver processes, including account, hardware and software provisioning and access management
- Resolve 1st line issues first time, and where not possible, escalate to the IT Infrastructure Engineer
- Diagnose and fix basic connectivity issues, e.g. Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN etc
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets and access rights ensuring appropriate levels of governance and compliance
- Support users in the use of technology and equipment by providing necessary training and advice
- Support day-to-day service operations, ensuring incidents, requests and changes are handled effectively with clear communication, prioritisation and timely escalation
- Support and monitor IT services and systems, perform troubleshooting and administration as required
- Support the IT Infrastructure Engineer in deployment of updates and changes to business applications and infrastructure, following change control, information security and risk management policies
- Support asset lifecycle activities including stock control, asset tracking and licence management
Person Specification:
- A degree in an IT related discipline is desirable, however, demonstrable equivalent experience will be considered
- Evidence of customer focused IT support
- Ability to manage competing demands and prioritise effectively
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues into user-friendly language
- Motorsport experience would be beneficial
Whilst this role will primarily be based within our Silverstone site, there may be times when it is necessary to attend other locations such as our London office, or on occasion, travel to races.
