A Solutions Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the cloud platforms and applications that support an organization’s IT services. This role involves designing and implementing cloud platforms, applications, and networks that align with industry best practices, ensuring optimal performance and security configurations. Solutions Engineers play a crucial role in creating a robust and scalable IT environment that supports both current and future business requirements.
Role responsibilities:
- Technically lead projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
- Propose solutions to improve resiliency, scalability, and alignment with best practices.
- Design and develop technical solutions tailored to requirements.
- Create and update technical architecture documentation and diagrams (HLD/LLDs).
- Create and update support documentation in line with operational support responsibilities.
- Analyze capacity for both short and long-term needs.
- Provide 3rd / 4th line support and advice for Azure, M365, Active Directory, DNS, and other SaaS systems.
- Troubleshoot and solve complex problems related to network, PC, laptop, printer, and mobile device equipment.
- Participate in change management processes, including developing implementation, testing, and back-out plans.
- Perform technical demonstrations and presentations as needed.
- Work with sales teams to respond to customer queries and RFPs.
- Provide expert technical support and guidance.
- Maintain a current knowledge of industry trends and new technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
- Minimum 3 years of broad information technology experience required.
- Microsoft Intune & Azure Admin certifications required.
- Additional IT related certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, etc.) preferred.
- Knowledge of technical architecture and networking concepts and principles.
- Proficiency in implementation and troubleshooting new technologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
