We are looking for an experienced Jira Administrator to take ownership of the design, implementation, and ongoing administration of our Atlassian ecosystem, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence.
Responsibilities
- Act as a product owner for all Atlassian products, championing usage across the enterprise and enforcing best practice and standardization across the platform.
- Support upgrades, migrations, and consolidation initiatives by acting as the technical lead across a range of projects and initiatives.
- Design and maintain scalable configuration models to avoid duplication and sprawl.
- Translate business processes (ITSM, PMO, SDLC) into effective Jira workflows.
- Manage Jira add-ons/apps (Marketplace evaluation, configuration, lifecycle).
- Partner with security and compliance teams to meet governance requirements whilst balancing team autonomy.
- Act as escalation point for Jira issues and performance problems.
Skills & Expertise
- 5+ years’ experience administering the Atlassian platform (Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence) within medium to large enterprise environments.
- 3+ years’ experience deploying and managing Jira Service Management at enterprise scale, ideally across multiple business units.
- Strong, hands-on expertise in Jira architecture, configuration, and administration (workflows, schemes, permissions, automations).
- Proven experience migrating and/or consolidating multiple Jira instances into a unified environment.
- Experience designing and implementing secure, scalable Jira solutions, including automation and third-party integrations.
- Solid understanding of ITSM principles and enterprise service management practices.
- Knowledge of audit, compliance, and data governance considerations within enterprise systems.
- Experience working closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Confident facilitating workshops and engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong English communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Ability to operate independently in a fully remote, globally distributed environment.
- Comfortable collaborating with external vendors and implementation partners.
