Job Description
An established law firm is seeking an experienced Practice & Compliance Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the practice.
This is a varied position combining operational management with compliance responsibilities. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and be willing to undertake the roles of Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP) and Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA) as part of their wider position.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing operational and administrative functions across the firm.
- Ensuring continued compliance with SRA Standards and Regulations.
- Monitoring compliance procedures and risk management frameworks.
- Overseeing regulatory reporting and compliance records.
- Liaising with partners and senior management regarding governance and best practice.
- Acting as COLP or COFA, or working towards undertaking these responsibilities.
Requirements
- Previous law firm compliance experience.
- Good understanding of legal practice compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of the SRA Standards and Regulations and SRA Accounts Rules.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Stable employment history.
Previous COLP and/or COFA experience would be advantageous is essential
