Envision People is delighted to be working with a well-established South London law firm is seeking a Family Solicitor to join its busy and growing Family Department.
The successful candidate will inherit an established caseload and play a key role in providing high-quality family law services to privately funded clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor who enjoys autonomy, takes ownership of their work and is confident managing matters independently with the support of an experienced legal secretary.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied privately funded family law caseload.
- Advising clients on:
- Divorce and separation
- Financial remedy matters
- Pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements
- Separation agreements
- Cohabitation disputes
- Conducting client meetings and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Managing files from instruction through to conclusion.
- Working with minimal supervision whilst maintaining high standards of client care.
- Assisting with related employment law matters, including settlement agreements, where appropriate.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with family law experience.
- Have experience handling privately funded family law matters.
- Be confident managing their own caseload independently.
- Possess strong client care and communication skills.
- Be organised, proactive and capable of working within a small office environment.
- Be comfortable acting as the primary family law fee earner within the office.

The firm would be particularly interested in candidates with experience of:
- Financial remedy proceedings.
- High-net-worth divorce matters.
- Pre-nuptial agreements.
- Separation agreements.
- Settlement agreements.
- Business development and maintaining referrer relationships.
