Work closely with the senior management team in EU Region to provide legal advice to their operations;
Develop and provide compliance related training programs and activities;
Working collaboratively with other corporate staffs;
Negotiate, draft and review commercial agreements;
Support business and finance team on relevant UK regulatory compliance and certifications;
Provide legal advice to the Human Resources and Finance teams;
Work collaboratively with Envision Energy in-house legal and commercial staff in other jurisdictions on projects (primarily in the UK, European continent);
Provide necessary training to the business on legal topics;
Select and manage external counsel on a cost-effective basis.
Requirements
- The successful candidate will have 3-4 years of energy and project related legal experience gained at a respected law firm and/or in-house at an MNC (renewable energy industry preferred);
- Candidates must be qualified to practice law in England and Wales (or Scotland);
- Solid experience in handling English law governed contracts, in particular, contracts for supplying wind turbines and BESS and related long-term services;
- High level proficiency in English language is required;
- Comfortable with oversight of commercial contracts, procurement contracts, labor & employment, litigation and regulatory compliance;
- The candidate must be mature and able to work independently and successfully manage large-scale transactions and project teams;
- Excellent client service and communications skills (oral and written).
