Smart Wind Turbines

Envision’s smart wind platform integrates advanced sensing, digital models and digital twin technologies via the Galileo SuperSense System. With 80+ GW installed globally, Envision ranks first globally in orders and second in new installations since 2022, maintaining a leading international market position.

The energy storage platform provides full-stack capabilities across battery cells, BMS, PCS, EMS and SCADA, delivering integrated end-to-end solutions. The business ranks third in China and fourth globally, with 200+ projects and 15+ GWh in orders. The ecosystem includes Envision AESC (global battery leader) and Univers (AIoT-enabled digital energy management platform).

Green Hydrogen

Envision is developing large-scale integrated green hydrogen and ammonia industrial parks, including one of the world’s largest net-zero hydrogen projects in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia (1.5 million tons planned annual capacity).

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, with particular exposure to renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
• Support the negotiation and execution of customer and project contracts, including equipment supply, turbine supply, BESS, long-term service, EPC/BOP and other project-related agreements.
• Work closely with commercial, sales, project, finance and technical teams to identify legal and contractual risks and develop pragmatic solutions that support successful deal execution.
• Support UK and European regulatory, compliance and certification matters relevant to the business.
• Provide ongoing contractual advice during project execution, including interpretation of contractual obligations, risk allocation, claims and commercial negotiations.
• Support legal support to other corporate functions, including Finance, HR and Procurement, where required.
• Work collaboratively with Envision’s global legal and commercial teams to ensure consistency of approach across international transactions.
• Help develop and improve legal processes, contract management practices, templates and internal guidance.
• Deliver practical legal training to business stakeholders on relevant contractual, compliance and legal topics.
• Coordinate with and manage external legal counsel where specialist or jurisdiction-specific advice is required.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified lawyer in England & Wales or Scotland, with approximately 4 years PQE.
• Experience gained within a well-regarded law firm and/or the legal team of an international company.
• Strong grounding in commercial contracts, ideally with exposure to projects, construction, infrastructure, energy or other complex B2B transactions.
• Experience drafting and negotiating contracts governed by English law.
• Renewable energy experience is highly desirable, particularly exposure to wind, BESS or other large-scale energy projects, but is not essential where the candidate brings strong transferable projects or commercial experience.
• Comfortable working with complex contractual arrangements and identifying, communicating and mitigating commercial and legal risk.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to balance legal protection with the commercial objectives of the business.
• Able to translate complex legal issues into clear, practical recommendations for non-legal stakeholders.
• Comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities and operating in a fast-moving international environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively across different cultures, functions and jurisdictions.
