We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in St Albans. This role will involve:

  • Morning support: Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with autism who attends on a part-time (half-day) basis.
  • Afternoon support: Working as a general Teaching Assistant across Year 6, supporting pupils in preparation for SATs.
  • Delivering targeted interventions in Maths, English and Science.

The position is available until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience supporting pupils with autism (essential).
  • Have experience working within KS2, ideally Year 6.
  • Be confident delivering small group and 1:1 interventions.
  • Be proactive, patient and committed to supporting pupil progress.
