We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Heston area of Hounslow that is passionate about supporting every child's unique learning journey. With a strong focus on nurturing and developing pupils with SEND, the school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 pupil on a full-time, long-term basis.
Key Responsibilities for a Teaching Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with special educational needs
- Continuously reflect on and improve your practice as a SEND Teaching Assistant
- Collaborate effectively with the class teacher and wider school staff
- Support the delivery of engaging, differentiated lessons
- Help track the pupil's progress and share observations with the teacher and SENCO
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for the pupil to thrive
For this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 6 months' experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within a primary school
- Experience supporting children with SEND
- A reference to support your experience working with children
- An enhanced child-only DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- The ability to commute to the Heston area of Hounslow or live locally
Pay Rate: 88 - 95 per day (PAYE), depending on experience.
