We are recruiting a Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated SEND school in Welwyn Garden City. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm. Previous experience working with SEND pupils is essential.
As a Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be confident supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, as well as assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities. You will be working with students with a range of special educational needs and learning difficulties, so a calm, patient, and adaptable approach is required.

Role responsibilities:- Support students with their learning and personal development
- Contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
- Work closely with students with a range of SEND needs
- Provide 1:1 and small group support as required
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students to help them feel secure in and out of the classroom
- Communicate closely with teaching staff and other professionals to prioritise student progress
- Available Immediately, Mon-Fri, 8:30am to 3:30pm
- MUST have a DBS or willing to get one
- Have experience with children in some capacity whereby you can provide a reference
- Live local to Welwyn Garden City or within a commutable distance
