We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive SEND school supporting primary-aged pupils in Welwyn Garden City. This role focuses on working with children with a range of special educational needs, including social, emotional, and communication needs.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, with an immediate start available.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience working with children in the UK
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND needs is required
- A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to help pupils thrive academically and emotionally
- Strong behaviour support and relationship-building skills

The Role of a SEND Teaching Assistant: As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to primary-aged pupils with a range of special educational needs
- Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Help ensure that every pupil feels supported and encouraged both in the classroom and around the school
- Assist with classroom management and daily routines, helping to create a calm and structured setting
- Play a key role in fostering confidence, independence, and a love of learning in every child
Requirements:
- Available Immediately, Mon-Fri, 8:30am to 3:30pm
- MUST have a DBS or willing to get one
- Have experience with children in some capacity whereby you can provide a reference
- Live local to Welwyn Garden City or within a commutable distance
