Join a fantastic school in Watford as a full-time Unqualified SEND Teaching Assistant, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to support children's learning and development in a highly supportive environment.
With class sizes capped at 10 pupils and an average of 5 staff members per team, you will be joining a well-resourced school with excellent facilities, including sensory rooms, a soft playroom and a hydrotherapy pool. The learning experience is further enhanced by weekly off-site activities and strong support from therapists and medical staff.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 support to pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)/Autism to help children meet their developmental milestones.
- Help create a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Participate in off-site learning opportunities, supporting the children in varied settings.
- Build strong relationships with students and staff to prioritise progress.
Requirements:
- Immediate availability.
- Experience working with children and a reference to support it.
- A CHILD ONLY DBS or willingness to obtain one.
- Live local to Watford or within a commutable distance.
