Previous experience working with children, particularly those with additional or special educational needs (SEND), is highly desirable.
The Role
As an
Unqualified Primary School Teaching Assistant , you will
- Support primary-aged pupils with their learning and classroom activities.
- Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Help create a positive, safe and supportive learning environment.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support where required.
- Support pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs.
- Encourage confidence, independence and positive behaviour throughout the school day.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have
- Full-time availability, Monday to Friday (8:30am - 4:00pm).
- Recent experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or similar setting.
- Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to commute to or work within the Sliough area.
